Apologies from Kevin. He is flying out to USA this evening.The main news from the ComSoc Chapter is that, after consultation with Canterbury, the 2009 IEEE NZ Wireless workshop will be held in Auckland on Friday 4 September.
(Another event is being planned at Canterbury on Thursday 3 September.)

  • Kevin's apologies for not attending the IEEE NZ North Section Meeting on (23/4/2009). At the time he will be flying out to the IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference in Barcelona, Spain.
  •  Planning for IEEE NZ Wireless Workshop is underway. The one-day event will take place in Auckland in the first week of September 2009 (Thursday 3 or Friday 4 September).

Discussions are still in progress on splitting NZ ComSoc Chapter and forming a NZ North Chapter. However this requires sufficient ComSoc membership in NZ Central and South Sections for them to remain viable.
