Hamid reports:
I attended the 35th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC'13), which was held in Osaka, Japan from 3 July, 2013 to 7 July, 2013.
It was a great opportunity to meet some of IEEE EMBS Organizers and R10 Chapter Chairs and discuss the activities of NZN EMBS chapter and future collaboration between NZN, other R10 chapters particularly Australia and Malaysia chapters.
The same as last year, NZN EMBS chapter was invited to be the technical supporter of IEEE EMBS International Conference on Biomedical Engineering & Sciences 2014 (IECBES 2014) to be held in Malaysia.

Hamid:
As mentioned in my previous report, I attended 32nd Annual International IEEE EMBS Conference, August 31 - September 4, 2010, Argentina.

There is a possibility of funding from IEEE EMBS up to 1000 USD for our EMBS chapter if we can find a local co-sponsor proving us a founding of the same amount.

Any suggestions from the committee members to approach a local sponsor would be appreciated.

Hamid:
Nothing to report for EMB now.

I am planning to attend the EMB international conference by the end of this month so would be able to report for the next meeting.

I had a meeting with Ehsan and supported his idea on organizing an EMB related international activity. I suggested arranging a workshop for this year and then extend this activity to a wider rage. He was going to talk to the experts and get a better idea about the presenters and audiences but I have not heard back from him recently.
